What Have the Jeromes Been Up To?

Happy New Year! As we look forward to 2016, we realize how much the Lord has blessed us in 2015.

Caleb is doing very well in his manager position at Shape Up Outlets. Caleb helped with the selection and setup of the current location of the store at University Mall in Orem, UT. He has also finished another semester at UVU in the animation program. This semester, he and his classmates made a 3 minute long film featuring 2 elemental characters-- water and fire-- who fall in love. (Click the link to view a clip.)

I was promoted at Jive Communications in July to Sales Operations Specialist.  I love analyzing processes and streamlining the daily functions of the company.  It has been a rewarding experience and I have learned so much from my colleagues about the telecommunications industry.

As a couple, we had many adventures together including stand up paddle boarding at Utah Lake, hiking red rocks at Arches National Park, and canoeing at Bear Lake. We hiked to 3 local waterfalls and did one hike to Diamond Fork Hot springs during the full moon. We made a trip to Las Vegas in April and saw Cirque Du Soleil.

We also participated in the Chalk Art Festival in the spring for the consecutive 5th year. Our illustration was of some original characters Caleb created in a Spaghetti Western style. We celebrated 4 amazing years of marriage in July.

We moved into a house in Pleasant Grove, Utah in August (we are renting). It was sad to leave our friends and family in Murray, but we needed to be closer to work and school.

I take Yoga classes at night while Caleb is at school or work and have been improving in my practice. One of my goals this year is to be able to do Side Crane.

Caleb is serving as a ward missionary, and I am a Beehive's advisor in the Mount Mahogany 3rd Ward . Our neighborhood is full of returning and leaving full-time missionaries, so it seems like every week is a missionary talk. And it is a very very big ward! We have gotten to know people through our callings and the ward choir.

If you got to this point in the post, thanks for reading!

We hope you have a bright and promising new year in 2016!
